The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Justice Kudirat Kekere–Ekun Wednesday, approved the promotions of some of senior staff of the National Judicial Institute (NJI) and also appointed an overseer.

The Board of Governors of the NJI made this decision at its Statutory Meeting held Wednesday at the Institute in Abuja

The statement signed Mr Kolade Umoru, Head of Information & PR, stated that the board headed by the CJN gives consideration to decisions relating to the affairs of the Institute, policies, functions and general mandate of the Institute.

One of the major highlights of the proceedings was the approval of promotion exercise which reveals the breakdown as follows; 88 senior officers, 5 conversions, 5 proper placement, 2 upgrades and 1 appointment.

Rasheedat O. Olomada was at the meeting, appointed as Overseer of the Department of Finance and Account in fulfilment of requirements as provided in Public Service Extant Rules.

Her appointment is following the active service years of Mrs M. O Aribisala is coming to an end as she will be exiting the NJI service after attaining the mandatory Retirement Age of 60 years by 7th January, 2025.

In the euphoria of new promotion and appointment that greeted the air, the staff expressed their gratitude and reaffirm allegiance to the Administration and leadership of the Administrator, Hon. Justice Salisu Garba Abdullahi for his sterling qualities of unassuming leadership.
