The National Judicial Institute (NJI) has announced a strengthened collaboration with the Ernest Shonekan Centre following a courtesy visit by a delegation led by Dr. Uche Ogbonna. The delegation was received by the Administrator of NJI, Hon. Justice B.A. Adejumo, OFR.

According to the statement issued by the Institute heads of information, Mr Kolade Umoru, the partnership will focus on advancing judicial innovation through Emerging Digital Technologies, Human Capital Development, sustainable infrastructure and public interest litigation.

In his remarks, Justice Adejumo highlighted plans for a recreational park within the Institute and welcomed the Centre’s support in providing Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses and electric vehicles to promote green mobility.

Dr. Ogbonna reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to supporting NJI in Judicial Capacity Building, Law-making Advocacy, and training of judicial staff and technical assistants. He noted that the collaboration would enhance efficiency and strengthen Nigeria’s justice system.

Verily, this renewed alliance underscores both institutions’ shared vision of modernizing judicial processes, embracing sustainability, and building capacity for a stronger judiciary in Nigeria.
