National Judicial Institute and Federal Road Safety Corps Collaborate to Enhance Road Safety and Justice Delivery.
The Administrator of the National Judicial Institute (NJI), Hon. Justice Babatunde Adejumo, OFR, paid a courtesy visit to the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr. Shehu Mohammed, mni, on September 16, 2025. The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration and partnership between the two organizations.
Core Mandates and Responsibilities of the two organisations include,
National Judicial Institute (NJI):
Judicial Training and Development: Providing training and capacity-building programs for judges and judicial officers to enhance their skills and knowledge in dispensing justice effectively.
Research and Policy: Conducting research and providing policy recommendations to improve the justice system.
Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC):
Road Safety Management: Ensuring safety on Nigerian roads through education, enforcement, and emergency response.
Accident Prevention and Investigation: Investigating road accidents and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences.
Expected Areas of Collaboration includes
Joint training programs for Judges and FRSC personnel on road safety laws and accident investigation.
Enhancing the effectiveness of mobile courts in prosecuting road safety-related offenses.
Collaborating on research projects and policy development to improve road safety and justice delivery.

The Corps Marshal, approved the request of having a Special Marshal Unit in the Institute.
By working together, the NJI and FRSC aim to promote road safety, enhance justice delivery, and contribute to the overall well-being of Nigerians.
